The International Jury for Short Films is composed of top specialists in the field who will watch several dozen of animated and live-action movies during this year’s edition of the Ale Kino! Festival.
An award-winning animation director, designer, and animator. She gained experience working on animated and live-action films, as well as commercials. In 2008, Magdalena graduated from Łódź Film School, where she made her films ‘Joyets’ and ‘Zbigniev’s Cupboard’. In cooperation with Breakthru Films, she directed ‘Spirits of the Piano’ – a 3D stereoscopic puppet animation that was awarded, among others, the Best of the Fest 3D Shorts at the Hollywood 3DFF Festival. She has also directed numerous commercials, including the award-winning ‘Share the Orange’ for Alzheimer’s research UK, featuring Bryan Cranston and Christopher Eccleston, and was the Animation Director of Jan Jakub Kolski’s latest feature film. Currently, she is working on two feature films.
Roberto Paganelli was born in Bologna in 1968. He is educated in the field of Arts, Music, and Cinema and specialises in designing and organizing film events, as well as developing educational initiatives. He runs workshops on film language and filmmaking. In 2005, he co-founded the OTTOmania Association and since then he has organized over 150 workshops in the field of animation for children, youth, and adults.
A Belgian animation director, Aline graduated from l’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in 2012. In 2015, during her residency at Folimage Studio in France, she co-directed a short animation film, ‘The teeny-weeny fox’, with Sylwia Szkiladz. The film won severals prizes and was screened at over 70 festivals all around the world. Since then, she has been working on severals animation productions for children, such as ‘The Pocket Man’ and ‘Petit Poilu’. Currently, as a resident at Zorobabel Studio, Aline is preparing a new short film.
