To begin with, we would like to present the composition of the International Jury for Feature Films for Children:
A philosopher by education (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań), a playwright by profession, and since 2007, a dramatist of the Białystok Puppet Theatre. One of the most often staged Polish playwrights, the author of several dozen plays presented in Poland and abroad. The winner of numerous contests, among others: Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Play, Competition for Theatre Play for Children and Youth, Competition for the Treatment of Animated Film (Polish Film Institute). She was awarded the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis (2010).
A graduate of the Drama School of the Theatre in Genoa where he was later involved in the production of several plays, Andrea has also completed a RAI screenwriting course in Rome. His work has gained wide recognition, including an Academy Award nomination for the Best Short Film for ‘The Substitute’ and the David di Donatello nomination for his feature film ‘Banana’. He teaches screenwriting and directing at the Holden School in Turin.
Arne Lindtner Næss
At the beginning of his career, Arne Lindtner Næss worked an actor, director, and theatre dramatist. In 2001, he started writing and directing for film and TV productions. So far, he has written 8 movie scripts and directed 16 feature films, as well as several television series for children and young viewers. For his work, he has been rewarded at numerous festivals around the globe. In recent years, he became famous for directing the series ‘Casper and Emma’, which not only won the hearts of Polish audience, but were also awarded at both Ale Kino! and Kids Film Festivals.
