The Children’s Art Centre in Poznań We bring together people who share one passion: a passion for art made for children and by children. Our activities are aimed at those who are still learning to walk and talk, those who have made it to crèche or nursery, then to elementary, middle, or secondary school, and finally to university, but also at those who have never lost the thirst and courage for discovering the world and themselves within the world. They all come to us and meet across generational boundaries. We organise a number of cyclical events, many of which have a long- standing tradition. We deal with theatre, film, music, and visual arts, sometimes treating them as separate domains, but usually making them complement each other and form a whole, just like we as individuals get together to form a team. We are a local government cultural institution which not only believes in its mission, but also realises it every day.
Thirteen-year-old Ady is no longer obeying his father. Struggling with rising the kid on his own, feeling hopeless, the man decides to send his son off to his older brother, Amadou. Ady is supposed to spend the summer with his uncle and his family on the other side of the Mediterranean Sea... in Burkina Faso! In this country, boys of his age have to undergo initiation to become men, but Ady, who thinks he only came for holidays, sees things differently...
